About Pre-D&D

Why I Created This Project

I started this project because every time I would make a new character with a new species, I would find that there were so many things that I missed when creating their backstory to really bring them to life and give them a personality that stands out.

Every time that I would make a campaign, I'd come to realize that there was something missing in my planning that could have allowed the setting to make more sense. To allow my faction to have more credibility, to allow my deities to intervene more within the story, and so much more. All of these different nuggets of detail are buried in books and can be so easy to pass up when you're just trying to make a campaign that people may or may not drop after a few sessions.

I'm not necessarily here to streamline the process. I'm simply here to give you all the tools that have been buried in text to you so that way you can hit that extra depth of your backstory or your world's history that you didn't realize you needed... till someone pointed it out.
